Rich Zaleski has fashioned a career writing on topics of interest to those who pursue the traditional outdoor sports—fishing & hunting. Rich partakes in, and has written about, most all outdoor related activities, but his particular field of interest and expertise is fresh water fishing, for warm water/cool water species—largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass, crappie and nothern pike, with a strong ancillary interest (limited only by geography) in musky and walleye.
RichZ has had thousands of articles published in outdoor magazines ranging from In-Fisherman to BassMaster to Outdoor Life and New England Game & Fish. His writing and illustrations have won awards for excellence from the Outdoor Writers of America and New England Outdoor Writers, in both print and electronic media categories. RichZ is also the outdoor columnist for The News-Times (Danbury, CT) and for a decade, was the producer and writer of In-Fisherman Radio's Northeast Edition, syndicated on 70+ stations from Maine to Maryland. Additionally, he authors frequent bass articles in Outdoor Life Magazine. RichZ is available for fishing magazine assignment...but only for feature articles dealing with the finer points of bass and crappie fishing. "My outlook on life and work reflects the fact that having survived a heart attack in '95, I'm in my second go-round. There are simply too many things I'm interested in and enjoy doing, to waste my time working on projects that don't excite or intrigue me. I've no interest in working for the sake of working, and unless a topic interests and challenges me enough that I'd probably research it for personal satisfaction anyway, I'd rather spend my time on something that inspires me to research and write it better than anyone else might." |
