Classic thoughts.

I used to cover the Classic every year. Stopped after the 2000 Classic in Chicago. I think it was because the feel of the deal changed a lot when ESPN bought BASS. But ESPN is out of the picture now, and friends in the outdoor media industry who cover it now say it’s really great.

The endless winter…

Days I’ve been able to fish the Housy since the first of the year. 1/2, 1/4, 1/20, 1/21, 1/22, 1/23.

The 25th was also fishable, but it looked like it wasn’t going to be, so I made other plans. Now I wish I hadn’t. One more day would have been pretty substantial.
